The Performance Pyramid
Designed by Dr. Douglas Brooks, the Performance Pyramid's intention is to give K-12 teachers of all subjects a visual motivation piece to enhance their school and the learning outcome. There are 9 categories, all of which need to be addressed in every classroom. Each category affects each other, and ultimately the learning product.
"The logic of the pyramid structure is that if schools start by attending to student preferred learning styles they are creating data of value as long as the student is in the district." -Dr. Brooks
In the third row "learning styles" is found. This shows the impact that this has upon the learning outcome of a child. The importance of establishing multiple learning styles in the curriculum is placed before "testing skills" and even "curriculum mapping"!
